Ericsson C/C++ Developer in Budapest, Hungary
We are now looking for a Developer to maintain products (units, nodes, networks, systems and solutions). Your role will include all development activities such as: requirement analysis, system design, architecture design, hardware design, software design, integration, verification, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We organize in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.
Our department's head office is placed in Gothenburg with sites in Milan, Genova, Beijing and Budapest.We are looking for Minilink Traffic Node (TN) developers for the Budapest site. TN is a scalable, flexible, modular and robust u-wave transmission system used primarily in LRAN. The node is capable to carry both TDM and Ethernet traffic. TN uses Montavista linux and OSE operating systems, SW design is based on C and SDL. The current developments are going towards implementing the newest cutting edge Layer2 protocols and technologies.
Main tasks include
- Software development, implementation and test of new features
- Test case implementation in Java framework
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of released versions
- Securing high product quality
- Ensure timely deliveries
- Participate in solving customer issues
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Good command of English
- Sound knowledge of C
- Good understanding of Linux and/or OSE
- Ability to work in agile team (Scrum, Kanban)
- Flexibility, quick learning
- Knowledge of network protocols (IPv4/6, SNMP, OSPF, STP, RSTP, TDM, ...)
- Experience in concurrent programming
- Java and scripting languages (PERL, bash, Python)
- General telecom network knowledge preferably connected to microwave networks
