IBM Credit Analyst (Fluent Polish) in BUDAPEST, Hungary

Objective of the job: The Credit Analyst will perform financial analysis on IBM's customer set. From that analysis and knowledge of the industry, the Credit Analyst will be expected to make a firm, informed recommendation for Credit. The analyst is expected to provide input into creating the right structure to protect IBM's credit position and still enable IBM to win the bid - this will largely involve working with a senior credit analyst. The analyst will work both with Regional Credit teams and the WW Credit team in NY.


  • Financial analysis skills - the ability to understand and analyze company's financial statements, demonstrated experience and track record required.

  • Forecasting - have an appreciation of future cash flows and consideration of how these impact debt repayments.

  • Communication - Explain the decision made and reasons why to next senior level.

  • Structuring - have some understanding of deal structuring and be able to provide an initial view on how best to structure a weak credit including knowledge of collateral and security vehicles.

  • Financial Markets knowledge - the ability to understand trends in the wider economy, in capital markets and how they affect IBM's customers' credit standing

  • Industrial Expertise - have an initial appreciation of understanding trends and dynamics (both technical and financial trends) in specific IBM industry sectors. Aspire to be the main EMEA Credit leader for the industry sector they will be working in.

  • Understand and implement IBM’s Credit directives, ensuring appropriate controls are maintained.

  • English: Fluent

  • Polish: Fluent

  • 2-4 years experience in Finance, Banking, Credit, Credit Control, Financial Analysis, preferably in a bank or a multinational environment

  • Relevant university and professional qualifications

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Good numerical skills

  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility

  • High level of proactiveness and initiative with potential to innovate
