Essential Responsibilities:

  • Investigate the opportunities, develop and execute entity level action plans for freight and customs invoice transitions to Service provider

  • Own and manage the relationship with the Corporate Freight Audit Team, drive the strategy for the implementations which bring saving for Global Operations

  • Map the existing customs duty payment processes in the region, find a simplified, transparent and compliance solution instead of the actual multiple ones and develop a plan to standardize

  • Work effectively together with Subject Matter Experts and coordinate their daily job

  • Implement and drive an operating rhythm to hold the regional team accountable to operational metrics, on time deliverables and budget

  • Partner with business supply chain leaders for related functions ensuring strategic alignment with needs of each business in the region

  • Ensure effective stakeholder management to drive buy in, engagement & change; escalate critical issues in a timely & effective manner

  • Serve as a change agent by seeking, sharing and implementing best practices in order to simplify processes in the region.

  • Drive consistent operational delivery with the objective to leverage 'economy of scale' in support of cost efficiency and service simplification.

  • Assist in the creation of review mechanisms to ensure adherence to the enterprise standard and performance metrics to track the COE’s and regions’ speed, quality and cost of delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • University degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience

  • Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization

  • Ability to influence many different stakeholders at various levels of the organization

  • Proven experience impacting performance excellence

  • Must be willing to travel at least 30% internationally

  • Fluent in English

  • Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary

  • Numerate with a good eye for detail, precision

Desired Characteristics:

  • FMP, CAS or other GE development program graduate

  • Additional European languages (other than English)

  • Knowledge of Buy to Pay and/or Finance processes

  • Established networks within the GE Customs organizations

  • Customer-focuses in defining quality and establishing priorities
