As a Lenovo Technical sales consultant in Lenovo Datacenter group you will get engaged in promoting Lenovo DCG product and solutions, you will work with CTOs, IT specialists and Lenovo presales and sales team and with Lenovo partners to help drive Lenovo’s Datacenter opportunities through the sales cycle from understanding customer business and technical requirements, building the solution architecture and driving the opportunity up to a profitable closing.
Your Technical skills, solution knowledge and credibility are critical to helping accelerate the sale of strategic and must-win deals. As a Technical sales consultant you will be responsible for executing the vision for our Datacenter solutions within Lenovo customers’ IT and ensuring that architecture conforms to latest standards while providing technical and architectural direction and best practices to the infrastructure team. You will also be in charge of enabling other solution architects / pre-sales from our Datacenter partners, preparing RFI and RFPs, presenting solutions, leading proof of concepts based on Lenovo Datacenter solutions, and implementing those solutions that address our customer’s infrastructure.

The Technical Sales Consultant supports Sales Account Managers and their associated territories, and has responsibility for:
Keeping customers up to date with new technologies and innovations relevant to their industry and interpreting their technical requirements
Independently generates technical solutions for clients,
Have the ability to build technical solutions working with the wider specialist product and technical community, the sales teams and business partners as appropriate, to support winning the business.
Provide Technical Input to Tenders/RFPs
Gathers information to develop an accurate understanding of customer technology infrastructure
Adapts solution design to new clients' requirements Do you have...?
Ability to create and present technical solutions to senior level clients within the customer and clearly articulate the technical value of Lenovo proposition to the customer
Understanding of trends & technologies for x86 and entry to mid level Storage.
General knowledge across the Server, Storage and Networking portfolio, with competencies in core technologies like virtualization, system networking etc.
Influences people outside immediate department, through work with customers and business partners and presentations on project-related topics to Lenovo and customer management.
Ideally from an Enterprise Server Vendor or Partner Background or a Technical background within a customer or partner environment
