As an acknowledged authority within Oracle, this senior level consulting position is responsible for creating and implementing innovative solutions with industry-wide impact. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated solutions within constraints of time and budget.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. As a position of technical/professional influence, this individual frequently operates at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies enhancements to Oracle products to meet very complex customer needs. Exercises creativity and independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to deliver functional and technical expertise on a wide range of business and technology solutions.

Leads experienced consulting teams on challenging projects; works on significant and unique issues. As a thought leader and trusted advisor, effectively influences difficult decisions at the leadership-level of customer organizations. Enables business development efforts by providing subject matter expertise. Resolves very complex customer escalations. Drives customer process direction and decisions by providing domain leadership within relevant industries on end-to-end enterprise solutions. Creates new solution sets based on assessment of industry needs, market demands and knowledge of competitive product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Design (or oversee) the Solutions for Applications and/or Technology for major cloud transformation opportunities across EMEA.

  • Work with specific niche skill architects and functional leaders to ensure optimum solution design for each opportunity

Key Skills requirements

  • Currently Principal Consultant level or above with 10 years of experience relevant to this position including a minimum of 5 years of consulting experience.

  • Recent project life-cycle experience, demonstrating the ability to advise customers on their implementation approach

  • Ability to lead large teams. Management or team leadership experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop successful architectures on projects with complex business requirements

  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior management within a client

  • Strong customer service client relationship skills. Ability to form lasting high-level relationships both inside and outside a project assignment

  • Self-starting, politically savvy in complex situations both within the client and Oracle

  • Track record of success and credibility at all levels

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to present an argument: persuasive with excellent communication skills, both written and oral with strong presentation ability

  • Degree educated or equivalent, preferably in Accounting / Finance. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus (Cloud ERP).

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Understand the Oracle Applications and/or Technology platforms and how they integrate to deliver transformational propositions for customers business needs.

  • Engage with key customers/opportunities to inspire confidence in Oracle Consulting as the preferred transformation partner

  • Bring best practice in solution design across EMEA to all key deals

  • Be seen as a “guru” in cloud platforms

  • Have breadth and depth in Cloud platforms – Applications and/or technology

  • Ideally have significant Industry experience in Finance, Communications, Retail, Public Sector or other industry alignment
