Eaton Corporation EMEA Road Commodity Manager and Transport Operations Leader Western Europe in Budapest, Hungary

The leader will act as EMEA regions road commodity manager where she/he will be responsible of $40M logistics spend. The Road Commodity Manager will be responsible to manage Eaton’s road operations for EMEA region, it includes negotiating with the logistics providers and being the subject matter expert for all road related activities. Also she/he will act as WE (Western Europe) Transport Operations Leader which has a spend of $14M and also looking for a person who has experience of successfully managing multi-site operations: 14 countries, 40 Eaton sites and who therefore has the ability to operate in a fast paced, customer oriented Logistics environment.
Perform road tenders in order to get the lowest cost and highest service level from the 3rd party providers for the EMEA area as commodity road manager. Has experience in virtual tendering process tools on regional level (i.e. GT nexus, TI contracts etc)
Organize quarterly QBR meetings with the existing providers in order to maintain the agreed service level, commitment, accountability and focus is in place also reviews the claim management issues.
Create the baseline, data base and understand the road network for the sub region, according to the current state and OFA’s (opportunity for advancement) designs, implements applicable real life/benchmark solutions in to the road in- and outbound network.
As the WE Ops leader she/he we will communicate and act as a team member for existing and upcoming projects and in those projects ensures world class logistics setups are considered and are implemented.
Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for all road related activities for the sub region. Embrace the culture of continuous improvement and implement CI solutions where it is necessary. With this SME expertise she/he will update the regional operations directors and leaders for the market trend and head winds dynamics for road mode logistics.
Understand the basics of contract terms, including but not limited to Insurance and Indemnification, termination clauses, audit provisions, and federal laws applicable to the contract.
Ensure shipping compliance with all customers routing and international packing requirements are met.
Collaborate with internal business partners to complete cross functional business projects, implement standard work and deliver process improvements.
Claim Management: Oversees claim status and seeks to minimize defects in operation, while maximizing customer satisfaction
LSP Management: Communicates with 3PLs and carriers to direct and manage strategic partnership, as well as evaluate and report performances
Understand international Trade Management implication, incl tax, duty, customs tariff implications for global commodities.
Demonstrated experience and success using Lean business practices
Support coordination of portfolio of projects within the SC Operations Team and provides functional leadership to project leaders, monitors actions until completion.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent work experience
10 + years of experience in a fast paced, high volume logistics environment
Advanced knowledge of small parcel shipping and 3rd party logistics providers.
Strong analytical and cognitive skills
Strong analytical ability with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Fluent English, German preferred
Detail oriented and possesses self-motivation and problem solving skills
Ability to effectively engage with and present to all levels of management
Self-directed, self-motivated and results-oriented
Ability to benchmark and research latest industry related operational best practices, share with the stake holders and implement where it is needed
Excellent interpersonal relationship building and team work skills.
Strong project management experience
Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and document complex business processes and systems
