Job Purpose:

The UK Statutory & FINREP Reporting team is responsible for the preparation of the audited financial statements for approximately 120 UK companies along with supporting Countries in EMEA with the preparation of their financial statements. The team is also responsible for the preparation and completion of the European Banking Authority’s (EBA) new supervisory reporting frame work of financial reporting (FINREP) for Ireland entities.

Job Background:

The UK Statutory & FINREP Reporting team has members both in Budapest and London. We work closely with other areas of Finance – Regulatory Reporting, Tax and Product Control across EMEA - to ensure that the results of the individual entities and the FINREP returns properly reflect the group’s activities. The team also supports other teams on one off transactions and specialized accounting issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production and delivery of the quarterly, semi-annual and annual FINREP returns;

• Preparing and updating procedures for all returns as required;

• Participation in IT system development (enhancements and maintenance);

• Maintenance and further development of key controls and reports including reconciliations, static data and variance analysis;

• Ongoing review and development of current processes to increase efficiency;

• Liaising with multiple departments (including Financial Control, Treasury, Risk Department) to resolve issues;

• Ensure a strong control environment – procedures and policies related to the information provided should be in place and adequately applied;

• Ongoing review and development of current processes to increase efficiency;

• Assistance with ad-hoc requests;

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

• Prior experience in financial reporting/auditing;

• IFRS experience is an advantage;

• Financial products and FINREP knowledge is an advantage;

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is an advantage.

Skills:

• Strong PC skills including advanced MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). VBA, Access or SQL is advantageous;

• Accuracy and attention to details;

• Numerate and analytical ;

• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English.

Qualifications:

• University/College in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
