Job Purpose:

Financial Reporting Senior Analyst specialised in Statistical Reporting responsible for the introduction of the AnaCredit reporting introduced by EBA / ECB. Responsible for the first implementation and regular preparation of newly introduced Credit related returns for the select EMU countries and legal entities within Citigroup EMEA region.

The Senior Analyst will work together - for the purpose of the central implementation of the AnaCredit Reporting in Citi Service Centre Budapest - with country finance teams, system implementation project team, business analysts and technology developpers. Will be responsible to review and analyse the individual components of the detailed credit report and ensure accurate and consistent monitoring and reporting across multiple legal vehicles, spanning several countries.

The Senior Analyst will liaise with several departments outside of Finance, most of them located in the region and overseas, thereby gaining exposure to a broad range of international stakeholders.

Job Background:

Citi’s EMEA Regulatory Reporting Cervice Centre in Budapest is a key part of the banks’s Finance function. It is Citi’s pioneering centre on a global scale where local regulatory reporting professionals work together in a central location, to ensure consistent quality of local regulatory reporting across 18+ countries.

The department is split into 3 main units:

  • the Statistical Reporting team covers Central Bank reporting for key monetary statistics, based on which important monetary policy decisions are made;

  • Prudential reporting team covering Credit Risk reporting and Market Risk reporting teams beeing responsible for Basel2/3 capital requirement and large exposures reporting;

  • the Controls and Standardisation team ensures consistency of controls across the above areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production & delivery of daily, monthly or quarterly local and consolidated AnaCredit reports depending on special country requirements

• Ensure development of key controls in the systems

• Liaising with multiple departments of the covered countries (including Financial Control, Risk Departments, etc.) to coordinate reporting and resolve issues

• Provide support to country Finance teams on an ad-hoc basis (e.g. audits, regulatory inquiries)

• Check and ensure that procedures and policies are applied to adequately cover rules and regulations

• Participate in future process migrations from new countries

• Check the work of other team members and support their development

• Prepare system requitement specification for AnaCredit report templates

• Prepare data gap analyses, investigate data sources

• Analyse data quality, investigate data quality improvement possibilities

• Prepare report mapping logics and rules set up in new system implementation projects

• Produce user acceptance test cases

• Ensure standard way of implementation of the global systems in the various countries

• Identify system implementation efficiency improvement possibilities

• Ongoing review and development of processes to increase efficiency on a long term

• Timely escalation of risks and issues related to project

• Continuously improve and update professional knowledge of regulatory reporting

• Act as a back-up or temporary reporting analyst to gain experience with the other reporting tasks

Knowledge and Experience:

• 4+ years of work experience in financial reporting / Credit risk reporting / auditing roles

• Prior experience in a regulatory or risk reporting role is an advantage

• Knowledge of Basel II/III is an advantage

• Advanced MS Excel and Access knowledge

• Fluent English knowledge

• Knowledge of an additional EMEA language is an advantage
