Responsible for leading a team in SSO Procurement Services to perform timely and accurate manner in accordance with defined operating procedures and Service Description. The role exists to ensure smooth running of Procurement Services.

Position Description

  • Allocation and management of work to team members and first point of escalation for issues from the team

  • Study the monthly/quarterly expected volume data and planning for workload as needed

  • Establish the key deliverables and ensuring that the team can deliver against these

  • Provide analysis and recommendations where targets have not been met

  • Support the team in resolving complex operational issues

  • Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI s) for the team are met

  • Continuously monitor KPI performance and take remedial action where required to ensure performance and quality standards are met

  • Connect regularly with stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate updates, changes and actions required in the team

  • Manage disputes and handle escalations with priority arising in PO handling process

  • Supervise and continuously improve the efficiency of the team by implementing optimized processes

  • Cooperate with other P2P teams

  • Address breaches and establish adherence in NOKIA indirect purchasing policies

  • Ensure that all external and internal control and SOX regulations are adhered to, and full compliance is maintained for business-as-usual (BAU) activities

  • Get work done with proper attention to quality, timeliness and customer satisfaction

  • Ensure workload is evenly balanced across the team and recommend changes if needed

  • Coach, develop and establish succession plans for own team

  • Ensure correct staffing (volume / skills etc.) and manage recruitment and development of the team members

  • Train new joiners and monitor performance during the training and probation period

  • Supporting team performance by undertaking activity as required e.g. covering other team roles during absence or during peaks in demand


  • Fluent written and spoken English

  • Presentation and communication skill

  • Familiar with procurement function and supply base management

  • Motivated to contribute to Indirect category strategy and targets

  • Expert knowledge in several indirect procurement related categories

  • 1-3 years experience in procurement required

  • Business experience in multinational environment

  • Operational procurement experience required, procurement system (myOrders, SAP, SBM) experience needed, understanding of operational procurement

  • Good knowledge of procedures and issues within P2P

  • Reporting & data analysis skills needed

  • 2-4 years people management experience: hiring and coaching team members, leading team, ideally within a shared service centre environment

  • SAP and BW knowledge

  • SOX, IFRS knowledge

  • Ability to communicate procurement information with non-procurement employees

  • Continuous Improvement (CI) mind-set

  • Strong MS Office skills are required (Outlook, Excel, PPT)
