BT Intercompany accountant (2-4 yrs experience) in Budapest, Hungary
The Intercompany Senior Finance Professional is responsible for perform all Intercompany related activities for the in-country deadlines as per the global/regional/local scope of Shared Service Centre
Qualifications required for this role:
1-3 years’ experience in Fixed Assets, General Ledger or other accounting area - strong financial skills
Typically partly or fully qualified accountant
Experience of Oracle is an advantage
English language knowledge is a must, another language is a huge advantage
Key tasks and responsibilities of the role include:
Perform (below listed) Intercompany activities and ensure due dates, policy and regulatory requirements are met. Owns and manages medium size processes and responsible for improvements to these processes in line with customer requirements.
Handling and booking of incoming/outgoing charges
Manage settlements, accruals
G/L and system reconciliation
Provide and retrieve back-ups to/from counterparties, relevant financial information to management
Support and/or provide audit (SOX) materials, reporting.
To ensure documentations are up-to-date, extend knowledge of procedures and issues within team
To ensure customer/management and/or other internal requesters is supplied with adequate and accurate financial information a timely basis.
To develop appropriate financial and operating procedures to improve the operational efficiency of the business unit where necessary.
Proactive issue resolution (detect missing data, search for necessary information, monitor action and follow-up of open items)
Co-operate and build good relationship with colleagues in the team and across other functions involved in the process
