IBM Procurement Category Manager (Fluent German) in Budapest, Hungary

Responsible for executing category strategy and managing the contractual commitments for a category. This role will report to a personnel manager within ISC Procurement Services organization, with business direction provided by a Sourcing Project Manager. Requires ability to conduct market analysis, including market drivers, supplier profiles and relative negotiating positions. The average travel will be 50-65%.Location is Budapest, Hungary.Main Responsibility Areas

  • Provide category support as assigned by the Client Sourcing Consultant and Category Strategy Leader

  • Owns primary responsibility to achieve client success against all contractual commitments at a category level

  • Responsible to understand category deliverables, savings commitments, milestones and obligations, and establish a project plan to meet each

  • Provide leadership in applying any appropriate council developed sourcing strategies/playbooks to client specific sourcing initiatives

  • Develop client category charter, baseline and market intelligence documents, sourcing strategy and category management approach per the 7 step sourcing process

  • Develop integrated (tactical and strategic) category sourcing strategy which delivers short term savings and drives category transformation through time

  • Provide category leadership and direction to Category Buyers

  • Responsible for on- going category management activities including driving supplier performance, demand management savings, and increasing category compliance

  • Communicate and negotiate with clients and suppliers through all levels of organization, primary interface to key category client stakeholders

  • Ensure category work products and deliverables are Green Book compliant and audit ready

  • Drive category hands-free and catalog strategy

  • English: fluent

  • German: fluent

  • Experience in Indirect Procurement

  • Deep, specific category sourcing knowledge. Experience in General Goods and Services or Fleet and Logistics Categories.

  • Client facing skills
