The Technical Training Specialist for EMEA Electrical Sales is responsible for managing projects that relate to training and development of colleagues in the EMEA Sales organization.

The Technical Training Specialist assists with the planning and implementation of development programs, defines projects' budget and scope. Reporting to the EMEA Sales Training Manager, the position's primary responsibilities are to

  • Develop, implement, and monitor training related projects within an organization.

  • Monitor, evaluate and record training program effectiveness.

  • Analyze and assess project status, achievement of goals and revise if needed.

  • Build solid cross-functional relationships, involve colleagues from across EMEA in the project teams.

  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

  • In this role the incumbent will establish working relationships and partnerships with business groups and corporate functions in the region and will support and coordinate processes for training related projects.

  • This role will support all aspects of Sales, Sales Support, and Customer Care skills trainings.

  • The role also contributes to the training strategy for the Electrical Sector, EMEA Sales organization in conjunction with the EMEA Sales leadership team.

Essential Functions:

  • Project scoping, including clarification of project needs with the internal clients and leading the project team to define requirements, assumptions, risk, cost (hours) and schedule.

  • Manage scope and project budget, proactively mitigating risk and/or potential budget overages and/or communicating amendments to scope, schedule or budget.

  • Input on project elements, with overall responsibility that deliverables meet internal client requirements.

  • Analyze resource needs across assigned projects on an ongoing basis and request staffing adjustments as necessary.

  • Lead project communication, regularly communicate milestones to team and internal client and ensuring deliverables meet agreed deadlines.

  • Maintain a high standard of service to our internal clients.


Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in human resource, business administration, engineering or instructional design.

  • 5+ years of experience working in large multinational environment in a business role of which a few years in a skills training capacity is an advantage.

  • Experience in managing and developing programs and providing instruction.

  • Minimum 3 years of Project management experience.

  • Organizational and record keeping skills with an attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; be able to communicate in a clear, constructive, and professional manner.

  • Highly effective in team coordination and collaborative problem solving. Able to work well in teams and maintain a solution-oriented environment.

  • Excellent people skills, demonstrated success in managing client relationships and working with teams.

  • Ability to consistently meet multiple deadlines under conditions characterized by short lead times and changing priorities.

  • Ability to work independently and using technology to allow for remote working.

  • Language: Strong English skills.

  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, SharePoint and WebEx.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting sales and sales support training activities for large and international sales organizations across EMEA or other large regions is an advantage.

  • Experience in and proven track record Sales training and/or sales/support management, performance analysis tools and techniques

  • Experience in the application of performance improvement techniques, processes, and tools to improve performance

  • Skills in: Vendor management, Client relationship management skills, Consulting and Facilitation skills, Coaching and Feedback skills.

  • Experience in Sales or Support as an individual contributor.

  • Multiple EMEA language skills desirable.

  • Master’s degree in any of the disciplines mentioned above.
