Alcatel-Lucent Transition Manager in Budapest, Hungary



Overall responsible for ensuring smooth transition of outsourcing activities (including transition of functional roles) across to Operations Services Center (OSC).

Main Responsibility Area:

Takes full responsibility for managing large scale transition projects to provide a defined deliverable(s) to specification, within agreed cost and timescale, meeting the necessary quality standards and to stakeholder satisfaction. Plans activities and monitors progress, and ensures all deliverables are provided using best practices and are of an appropriate quality.

Job Description:

  1. Manage transitions scope and end to end coordination with internal stakeholders

  2. Own the transition and knowledge transfer planning and execution

  3. Monitors overall progression of the transitions and reports to concerned stakeholders

  4. Manage and report risks and issues identified with the transition and create mitigation plan to mitigate the risks

  5. Publishes regular weekly/monthly reports that captures progress updates, project plan, risk/issues/changes, etc.

  6. This role requires active engagement and liaising with the functional units within and outside GOPS

  7. Equally balanced skills in areas of general management, customer relationship management, Project management, consultative selling, service delivery management

  8. Proactively work with internal customers to identify their business objectives, priorities and directions, critical success factors and applies this knowledge to establish and implement a transition strategy


Additional Requirements:

General requirements:

Master degree

10 to 12 years of overall experience with 5 years of relevant experience in transition management role.

Managed end-to-end remote and onsite transitions

Knowledge on PMO tools and experience in using those tools

Good understanding of the process like Order management, Source to Pay

Work experience with Six sigma and DMAIC methodology is desirable

Communication/Negotiation- Teamwork at highest levels.

Proficiency knowledge

Problem Solving - Anticipate, create and define innovative and visionary concepts in strategic and tactical/situational environment;

Contribution/Leadership * *

Experience in the IT/ITES industry spanning areas from consulting, engagement/business management, project / program delivery / service delivery / transition / management

Additional Information:

This role will require flexibility to travel on an as-required basis
