Maintenance coordinator


Purpose of the role:

To ensure that maintenance (building and equipment) services are provided to facilitate efficient plant functioning and to achieve factory performance targets.

To carry out projects related to factory utilities, machinery & equipment and infrastructures overhaul and improvements (maintain assets or upgrade existing installations).

To manage the Maintenance team on site.


  • Accountable for cost estimations and budget proposals;

  • Manages capital budgets by designing, implementing and commissioning the project and allocating budget and resource accordingly.

  • Developing a factory maintenance strategy and coordinating maintenance activities

  • Proper coordination and continuous development of human resources regarding Maintenance team

  • Ensuring all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed

  • Makes recommendations and actions improvements within specific area of responsibility

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, commissioning and hand over of projects within own area of responsibility, with emphasis on the implementation of respective engineering discipline.

  • Designs out and analyze recurring engineering problems to prevent breakdown into the future.

  • Keep updated and sustainable the maintenance plans in terms of resources workload, spare parts strategy and maintenance strategy /costs

  • Monitoring of maintenance KPI in order to propose and support the right maintenance strategy for each asset/component.

  • Managing third party contractors and keeping track of a project's status to evaluating economic factors for future jobs.

  • Work collaboratively with Operations manager to improve site and line efficiencies and reduce waste


  • Higher technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, mainly in Food area

  • Fluent knowledge of Hungarian language

  • Good knowledge of English language (written/spoken)

  • PLC, Autocad knowledge and / or experience

  • Soft skills: team management, self-reliance, determination, good communication and leadership

  • Project Management skills
