Role Summary:

The EMEA Commercial FP&A manager will be responsible for developing analytics to help the EMEA Industrial Solutions (IS) Commercial team drive profitable growth. This role will work closely with the three IS Commercial Business Units Executive Leaders in the Pole, the EMEA Commercial Finance Leader and his team to coordinate all blueprint and pacing cycles, while also providing structure and focus around all commercial KPIs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Proactively lead and coordinate planning & pacing activities for Industrial Solutions EMEA region (orders, convertible orders, sales, standard margin) at customer / channel / country level with commercial team +600MM$ Total Year Revenue

  • Coordinate above planning/pacing activity at product line level view with Business Units Finance managers as well as BU business leaders

  • Run sales QMIs for EMEA region by Commercial BU. Prepare with the team the required standard information at regional level, with backlog, position, plan, latest est comparisons as well as analysis of Avg Daily Order Rates and Avg Dailys Convertible Orders

  • Proactively look and support EMEA Commercial Fin Mgr and Commercial Fin BU Mgrs with qtrly estimates, spotting opportunities, highlighting risks, connecting the dots from various business inputs

  • Proactively lead and coordinate monthly/quarterly closing process, including sales, orders, standard margin analysis as well as revenue recognition for standard flow/equipment business. Reconcile sales and orders between ledger and reporting environment

  • Prepare quarterly commercial closing packages for the regions on standard templates as well as US reporting

  • Look for simplification ideas to work smarter, simpler, faster and be focal point on process excellence projects or other specific projects (i.e. around SAP, Global Data Werehouse, etc)

  • In conjunction with Base Cost COE monitor and drive actions to optimize Region costs performance

  • Supervise the Sales Variable Incentive Compensation (VIC) policy scheme and calculation – as well as other variable costs expenditure items (Agents’ commissions, Royalties, Concessions, etc …) – in connection with Region Sales and HR Teams

  • Leverage support from a commercial analyst and FMP by also providing them mid-term and yearly appraisal


  • Degree in finance or accounting

  • Significant experience in accounting, controllership and business management

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration

  • FMP, EFLP Graduate, or CPA

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to anticipate & resolve complex financial issue

  • Extensive knowledge of GE business operations with the ability to provide strategic and operational guidance in business management

  • Ability to work across functions/ teams

  • Flexibility in handling multiple priorities in fast changing environment.

  • Fluent in other foreign languages
