IBM Application Database Administrator in BUDAPEST, Hungary

Job Description

IBM’s Virtually Integrated Organization is looking for a Data Base Administrator to join to an ongoing application development, supporting IBM HR processes.

As part of a dedicated, Agile team, the candidate will be responsible for

  • working with DB2 database software to find ways to store, organise and manage data

  • troubleshooting

  • keeping databases up to date

  • helping with database design and development

  • ensuring that databases meet user requirements

  • liaising with programmers, applications/operational staff, IT project managers

  • managing database security/integrity and backup procedures

  • implementing security measures

  • testing and modifying databases to ensure that they operate reliably

  • writing disaster recovery plans

  • Reviewing and support current programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

In-depth experience with:

  • DB2 administration

  • Linux/Unix administration

  • SQL

  • RTC

  • Configuration management

  • Solid understanding of Agile terms and methodologies

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
