Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Coding in the area of Android Development

  • Interact with Business Analysts and/or internal/external customers to ensure that requirements are understood

  • Developing and maintaining banking and financial applications on native mobile platforms

  • Production, preparation and execution of unit test plans

  • Production of efficient and fully documented code

  • Production of supporting technical and installation documentation for internal and external publication (as defined by the reporting Manager)

  • Achievement of agreed productivity targets in order to ensure deliverables are as per the schedule and adhering to defined quality standards

  • Completion of all necessary software and non-software components in the timescales as defined by the reporting Manager

  • Ability to work on routine tasks with minimal supervision from reporting manager

  • Design documents, Code and Unit Test plans produced are all in line with the standard procedures

  • All deliverables to be peer-reviewed to ensure adherence to the relevant standards

  • Participate in conceptualization and brainstorming sessions

  • Enhance development methodologies and/or internal best practices

  • Drive technical innovations to boost customer satisfaction

Qualifications :

  • 0-2 years of experience as Android developer/relevant

  • Minimum intermediate level English language skills

  • Knowledge of standard enterprise software solutions (databases, application servers, etc)

  • Experience in developing networking and multi-threaded applications on the Android platform

  • Experience in writing the user interface in XML

  • Experience in using design patterns on the Android platform

  • Experience in performance optimization of mobile applications

  • Experience in working with source control systems

  • Hands-on experience with mobile platform usability and common solutions

  • Good skills in object-oriented programming and software design

  • Ability to see the “big picture”, open-minded, solution-driven personality
