Client Invoicing Services (CIS) is a global team of approx. 80 and is part of the BlackRock Data Services (BDS).
BDS provides centralized data support for the Firm, and serves the dual mission of supporting BlackRock and BlackRock Solutions (BRS) clients through overseeing Security Master, Client, Portfolio and Retail Sales Data, as well as Pricing, Index, Green Package, Performance and Attribution Reporting. BDS teams ensure comprehensive Quality Assurance and timely delivery of all information relevant to investment and risk professionals while running a scalable and efficient operational process on over $17T of BlackRock and BRS assets.
CIS provide management and performance fee invoices for institutional separately managed account clients and retail relationships located in the Americas, EMEA and APAC (excluding Japan). CIS are responsible for reviewing fee terms within client agreements, ensuring invoices and internal accruals are raised in line with these agreements and following up with clients to ensure collection of revenue. Global CIS Operations teams are currently located in New York, Wilmington, Edinburgh and Gurgaon.
CIS produce around 6000 invoices on a quarterly basis. Many invoice calculations are complex due to agreed fee terms and client structures. The team is undergoing significant change in both staffing and systems creating a dynamic and challenging environment for team members.

As a senior member of the Global Team and co-Head of EMEA reporting directly into the Global Head of CIS, this role will be responsible for the management and strategic direction of multiple functions across the EMEA business.
This role is responsible for maintaining a best in class client service model together with a robust risk management and operational control environment. A further key objective for this role are contributions to and responsibility for the design, testing and implementation of technology projects for the BlackRock Aladdin Invoicing Platform as well as looking at tactical developments wherever possible to make short term improvements.
Ability to assist in managing and driving a team and self to reach and exceed targets across the whole team.
Part of the EMEA CIS Operations management team and Global CIS Management team working together to develop the function and ensure all deliverables are met.
Ensure the team consistently provide excellent client service.

Manage the regional team of 20+ personnel
Train, develop and mentor a highly qualified and motivated team.
Management of the process for external audit, internal audit and Sarbanes Oxley.
Actively support ad hoc projects/issues as requested.
Build and manage relationships with key global stakeholders including Client Business, Operations, Technology, Legal and Finance teams ensuring any decisions and process changes are clearly communicated along with their impact.
Provide support to the Global Head of Billing Operations across a wide range of team activities and functions with regular communication and escalation to management regarding the activity of the team.

Prior asset management experience helpful.

CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC)/CFA Society of UK (IMC) desirable.
