Role Summary:
Are you a hands-on project manager with a proven track record and experience? As a Transition Project Manager you can help with the execution & development of GE's operational custom plan and build a lasting career with one of the world's largest companies.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supports the Customs Transition Leader by leading and driving sub-projects to reach transition goals
Orchestrates process steps during migration, supports data gathering exercise, taxonomy and due diligence activities, acts as single point of contact for businesses / sites and acts as subject matter expert
Contributes to the execution of migration activities, works closely with the Customs Operations and other cross-functions on reaching project milestones, oversees the process build
Supports stakeholder management, gather and incorporate inputs from different stakeholder groups and champion functional (re-)alignment
Assists functional initiatives by working closely with Metrics team and Vendor Mgr on full visibility of the business processes
Drives readiness, works with Ops, SME’s, catchers & IT integration to confirm technology requirements
Supports preparation to go/no-go service readiness assessment meetings, supports post go-live stabilization period
Leads other critical projects related to taxonomy, quality, productivity, process simplification, model build, digitization and harmonization
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Customs, Logistics or related disciplines, master degree would be a plus
Having some customs and/or logistics experience
Experience managing projects and model transitions
Experience managing stakeholder groups (in- & external)
Shared services experience, or solid understanding of shared services dynamics
Excellent influencing and relationship management skills, team-player
Ability to navigate through ambiguity and provide direction
Outstanding organizational, presentation & communication (oral & written) skills, fluent in English. Knowledge of one additional European language is preferred.
Strong analytical and risk management skills; Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics
Results oriented: strong ownership & accountability with a proven track record of execution
Experience in working with culturally diverse teams, cultural awareness & sensitivity
Flexibility to meet tight deadlines and availability to travel internationally at least 10 % of the time
Proactive attitude, self-starter and quick learner
