Position Summary:

The Testing Engineer is responsible facilitating interactions between the manufacturing test team and the product design and test developers. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert on manufacturing test and software installation and provide support for the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have overall responsibility for coordination of operational process improvements. This involves performing analysis of the supply chain, identifying a solution and working with functional teams to drive for improvement.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any direct reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and improves testing hardware for audio products (microphone, headphone, mixer, etc.). Analyzes capacity utilization, yields, cycle times, and test coverage analysis.

  • Can create technical documentation in support of new test systems for working with test assembly partners.

  • Plan, Design, Implement and Maintain test tooling HW using CAD development system.

  • Confers with engineering on design for test requirements and is able to drive leverage product designs to optimize costs associated with testing.

  • Monitors factory processes against performance requirements.

  • Communicates complex technical issues to other teams and organizations.

  • Drive Best Practices and lessons learned from experience with internal teams.

  • Drive strategies in support of organizational, functional, and business goals.

  • Utilize product and process postmortems to drive preventative actions and process improvement plans.

  • Utilize key manufacturing metrics to identify areas to improve manufacturability efficiency.

  • Train support team to ensure downtime is minimized and yields are maximized.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work.

  • Experience with building and testing computers or electronics systems.

  • Familiar with PCBA testing standards.

  • Experience working in at least one of the following application development environments (LabView, VBVee, TestStand).

  • Acoustics knowledge (microphones, headphones, loudspeakers) and familiarity with musical instruments theory is a plus.

  • Simple project management skills in planning, organizing, leading and controlling project progress and implementation.

  • Experience in working across different functional teams.

  • Understanding of process re-engineering/continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Understanding of Assembly manufacturing processes and supply chain.

  • Good written and verbal communication.Basic Understanding ofTrend, Pareto and Action analysis processes.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 15-20% of the time mostly within Hungary

  • Willingness to work in an office.
