PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Payroll is a key part of SAP’s cloud and ERP offerings. SAP software pays more than 80 million people around the world. We are the leading provider of payroll software, and we want to stay that way as the payroll market is transitioning from on-premise to the cloud.

For SAP Payroll cloud products and services, we are investigating microservice architecture and utilizing container technologies, Cloud Foundry and /or Kubernetes to ensure scalability, simple deployment and easy operation. We can offer a challenging and multi-sided range of tasks touching technologies like Java, HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, and many more.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Be part of a development team located in Budapest and work in a highly-motivated team according to the agile development methodology. Develop cloud native payroll country versions using the state of the art technology. Your responsibility will be covering the following stages and tasks within the software development cycle:

  • You contribute to development and operations in the area of SAP Payroll cloud products and services development

  • You take over responsibility for the entire lifecycle of applications and services for the localized payroll cloud product, for design, testing, implementation, maintenance, operations and support

  • You work as a developer in an agile development team according to Scrum

  • You learn the business requirements of payroll in the localized country

  • You work according to the development standards in the development team

  • You drive improvements and innovations in your area of responsibility

  • You collaborate with the members of the agile team and work according to the directions of the Scrum Master and the Product Owner

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

You have an excellent university degree (bachelor, diploma, master, PhD) in the following fields: information technology, computer science, mathematics, applied sciences, engineering or related area.

Required skills

  • Good technical skills (good Java development skills)

  • Ability to quickly understand customer business requirements and to implement software according to it

  • Self-motivation and result-driven, ability and willingness to quickly take responsibility and to execute

  • Strong social skills and team player – consensus building and openness to new ideas and intercultural co-operation

  • High quality, service and customer oriented working attitude

Excellent English language skills – written and oral

Preferred skills

  • Experience in Micro-Service-Development

  • Experience with local development environment (SpringBoot, GitHub, Jenkins, …) is an advantage

  • Experience of application development especially in the HCM area is an advantage

  • Development skills in several of the following areas:

  • OData and Olingo

  • SAP UI5

  • Experience in integration with frontend and backend through oData

  • Experience in working with continuous delivery and continuous deployment enabled setups

  • Understanding of Cloud and Cloud technologies

  • Passion for agile software engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE

We are looking for candidates with 1-2 years of work experience in the application or platform development area.
