Experienced Senior Professional responsible for the Global Statutory Accounting process transformation necessary to achieve best in class results. This role will lead the company’s effort to standardize the statutory audit process across the globe. A specific focus on design and deployment of enterprise standard processes across the wing to wing statutory accounting process.
As the relevant stat technology becomes available, this role leads the overall operationalization and sustaining of the process. Specific tasks include:
Own all Process Aspects of the Enterprise Standard
Define and document the full wing to wing statutory process from journal recording to reporting submission
Coordinate the development of enterprise standard processes across the wing to wing statutory accounting process
Define the roles and responsibilities of all constituents in the wing to wing statutory process
Understand the relationships and handoffs between stat, R2R and tax teams
Work with key stakeholders to drive execution
Work with the IT teams to monitor which technology is coming onstream and is available for use
Work with Regional teams to develop plans in smart-sheet to operationalize the available technology
Work with business teams to ensure we understand the business operational landscape and unique functional requirements of local processes
Work with Tax teams to ensure all stat related process support the related tax technology eg TPS, GETAR
Work with KPMG and audit teams to ensure the statutory audit is optimized in line with implementation.
Bachelor’s degree or other relevant qualification ACA / ACCA / CPA
Previous Big 4 experience and in depth understanding of accounting, statutory, tax and audit process
Strong project management skills, preferably for IT related projects
Strong communication & presentation skills and proven ability to interact with Senior Leaders

Prior experience with best in class regulatory filing process & technology
Solid operational accounting and controllership experience.
Excellent process mindset with prior experience performing process improvement activities in a finance capacity
Experience building up teams and processes in a multi-cultural, international environment, ideally in one of GE’s industrial businesses.
Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
Solid IT knowledge: experience designing and deploying with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills, PowerPoint
