Role Summary:

GE Global Operations is undergoing significant organizational change as we transfer enabling functions and processes from the various GE businesses and broaden our scope in line with the Company’s global enterprise standards. The Migrations Leader will provide project leadership and drive execution of large cross-functional migration initiatives globally.

Essential Responsibilities:

The role will have significant interaction with senior GE Business leaders and the Global Operations leadership team and will lead a team of experienced project managers.

  • Agree program planning and execution framework with all stakeholders. Oversee and manage the end-to-end migration project(s) for GE Power globally, with a strong focus on EWC governed program, across full spectrum of finance related services including Operational Controllership, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Buy to Pay and Invoice to Cash.

  • Drive change and stakeholder management in complex migration projects.

  • Create and implement organizational and engagement structures that will support change and facilitate execution.

  • Develop, coach and lead a team of project managers. Provide direction and focus in ambiguous environments.

  • Contribute to the execution & development of the operational plan in line with the Global and European strategies.

  • Drive service readiness. Working with operations team and IT integration to confirm technology requirements.

  • Plan and prepare go/no-go service readiness assessment meetings. Support post go-live stabilization.

  • Be a broad based member of the PMO, contributing beyond immediate responsibilities.

  • Operate constructively within a matrix organization, ultimately driving aligned and clear expectations for the organization.

  • Retain an external focus outside immediate role to remain current on industry and shared services trends.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Robust understanding of Finance operations in accounting (statutory filing, closing & reporting, controllership), tax, treasury, financial planning & analysis, buy to pay and invoice to cash

  • Able to assemble a strategy, a team (resource management), and drive execution in a matrix environment

  • Strategic thinker; proven ability to anticipate and resolve complicated issues

  • Proven project management skills (multi-faceted & complex projects) with ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results on time and on budget

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication, presentation and facilitation skills; fluent in English

  • Strong ownership & accountability, with a proven track record of execution

  • Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills; effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions

  • Anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve those; creates actionable strategies and operational plans

  • Has cultural awareness & sensitivity: ability to flex style to suit differing cultural norms and experience of leading a culturally diverse team

  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively at all levels of organization

  • Good understanding of HR considerations in respect of hiring, onboarding, managing attrition as well as European & local works council regulations

  • Shared services experience or solid understanding of shared services dynamics

  • Strong people management experience, leading and shaping large, multicultural teams

  • Travel requirement: 50% Locations: Hungary; Budapest
