Key Responsibilities:

The role is to join the OnBoarding team as a Technical Support Specialist , providing system and tool support and training for 140 team members across BlackRock’s global offices, plus hundreds of other users across stakeholder teams.

The OnBoarding Team sits within Global Client Services, comprising the Implementation team, who manage new client portfolio and fund-launch events as well as critical client change activity such as investment guideline updates and benchmark changes, and the Contracting team, who are responsible for the legal work required to implement those activities. Aladdin-based workflow tools provide connectivity between OnBoarding and the 60+ stakeholder teams who participate in the onboarding process. Additional Excel and SQL Server/Sybase IQ tools help run the team and process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for front-line support of these tools, as well as production of metrics and management information.

Day to day tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Level 1 user support for OnBoarding’s Aladdin-based workflows and Excel toolkit

  • Examples include: how specific applications are used, business process around these applications, addressing potential issues and enhancement requests

  • Queries may be resolved using email, chat, telephone, Webex screen sharing and documentation, as necessary

  • Escalate issues and enhancement requests to Development team where appropriate and track to conclusion

  • Production of periodic and ad-hoc metrics and management information delivered to OnBoarding and GCS management teams

  • Maintenance of and support for gold-copy Aladdin Dashboard layouts to help the team manage their workflows

  • Help to build and maintain a library of user guides and technical documentation

  • Participate in testing of new technology features

You should have:

  • At least 1 year experience in a high-paced multinational environment

  • Experience in a detail-oriented job

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Fluency in English - verbal and written, knowledge of any other European language is a plus

  • High proficiency in Excel

  • Excellent working knowledge of other Microsoft software such as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills and be confident, friendly and respectful individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients and colleagues at all levels.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving and willingness to go the extra mile for clients

  • Motivated, diligent and results driven

  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage and control their own priorities to meet deadlines

You may have already, but will otherwise learn:

  • Experience with Excel VBA coding

  • Experience working with large data sets, ideally with SQL coding
