Essential Responsibilities:

The successful candidate is responsible for providing strategic P&L and operations finance leadership, for one of GE Healthcare’s product lines (Ultrasound) for the Central Europe region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, all Eastern European countries). He/She will provide dedicated commercial finance support to the Flow Sales team across the region, drive profitability, develop/implement processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within the functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

  • Partner with two sub-regional business leaders and staff on tactics and strategy to drive operating performance & act as champion for strategic initiatives within the organization

  • Drive profitable growth in the region by identifying & tracking key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions

  • Contribute to improving financial visibility and processes by collaborating with the FP&A COEs and developing relevant dashboards

  • Ownership for developing mid- and long-term operating plans

  • Partner with commercial team to drive channel partners’ management through analyzing their performance metrics and providing recommendations for Go-To-Market strategy, and elaborate sales force effectiveness KPI to improve footprint success.

  • Work with Controllership & Operational teams to adopt Healthcare SOP’s

  • Lead cross-functional projects to drive simplification throughout the organization and to improve rigor in key Finance processes, reducing costs & improving profitability

  • Support some local financing initiatives, in coordination with local finance manager. Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Strong finance experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and /or equivalent experience

  • Graduated of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP) or CAS.

  • Fluency in English

  • Fluency in German is a plus.

  • Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)

  • Good understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP

  • Financial Planning and Analysis experience
