Role Summary:

The Sr Finance Staff Manager - Controllership Management, Bently and Controls Controller has overall responsibility for close, compliance with corporate controls, audits and reporting to Headquarters on all controllership matters. The role partners with the business to meet both short and long term operational goals, has a dotted line to the Bently and Controls, and a reporting line to the Digital Solutions (DS) Global Business Controller (GBC).

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Sr Finance Staff Manager - Controllership Management, Bently and Controls Controller, you will:

  • Be a strong people leader of direct reports and shared service teams providing leadership on all critical to controllership matters. Set goals, measure outcomes and share CTQ metrics with the business, CFO and GBC

  • Partner with CFO and Finance leaders in the business to ensure controllership alignment on operational and strategic issues. Drive rigor, processes and engagement

  • Liaise with various stakeholders (Product Companies headquarters, external auditors, CAS, IT) on all controllership matters relating to close, audits, reporting and analysis. Drive quality outcomes, highlights gaps and risks

  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process and streamline processes for distribution of financial information

  • Provide leadership across all accounting operations including account reconciliations, closing processes, financial systems maintenance, and general ledger data consistency / integrity

  • Identify, anticipate and interpret complex financial transactions and implement controls to ensure compliance with BHGE GAP and SOX requirements

  • Provide in-depth and documented accounting and financial policy direction to the business understanding when to escalate to the GBC

  • Drive continuous improvement in processes related to the financial close process and the control environment. Leverage technical, leadership and creative skills to identify and implement these improvements Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent knowledge and experience.

  • 6+ years of finance experience. Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in a Big 4 audit firm

  • Certified Public Accountant (or equivalent) (or in process of obtaining license)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to create and maintain positive relationships
