Eaton's Hydraulics EMEA Division has an opening for a:

Location: EMEA Business Service Center in Budapest, Hungary

Drives and supports commercial decisions based on sales strategy, growth and margin contribution. Oversees pricing activities and quotation activities. Understands market development and customer demand in the region. Drives and owns activities to outgrow the market and maximize profitability, responsible for customer excellence and operations.

Essential functions:

  • Analyzes and interprets sales and margins evolution vs. Profit Plan, prior year and forecast. In collaboration with finance, deploys a volume/price/mix variance analysis at sales and std margin levels; delivers insights to the sales force to drive mix improvements towards focus product lines and customers. On a monthly basis:

reports top customers

reports end-to-end margin by product line

  • Supervises the monthly unconstrained demand forecast with the demand planner and/or Regional Sales Managers. Key contacts are RSM’s, sales engineers and plant controllers.

  • Highlights and evaluates new business opportunities based on Sales and Standard Margin and challenges progress against targets

  • Drives annual sales planning process to feed profit planning

Follow up planning assumptions

Develops bridges to track changes in customer/market segments/product divisions

  • Responsible for EMEA Pricing and FC Quotation teams. Manages price changes in close cooperation with price management departments and sales. This includes Special Price Request, rebates and cash discount analyses.

  • Supervises Customer Service Managers and provides strategic direction to achieve customer excellence.

  • Structures and further develops sales processes, and leverages the CRM tool, to increase efficiency of EMEA sales force.

  • Drives integration process for reporting of order book, sales, margin, quotation and pricing for newly acquired businesses in EMEA.

  • Develops implementation of the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) to focus on the key objectives according the strategic and operational goals.

  • Leads various business improvement projects to deliver expected results on time.

  • Works in conjunction with Product Managers to focus sales organisation on Growth and Profitability

Qualifications

  • Recognized Bachelor Degree in business studies or engineering studies. MBA strongly preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years experience in a commercial role in sales, marketing or finance in an international, diversified industrial company

  • Technical aptitude

  • Experience and aptitude for driving process improvements

  • Should be commercially astute; role requires ability to review & influence commercial processes, including contractual matters

  • Understanding of the sales, inventory and operations planning process

  • Structured approach, process driven

  • Results and details oriented

  • Excellent analytical skills, very data-driven

  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • English fluent, a second language a plus
